1.Heat treatment can be strengthened, high strength, commonly known as duralumin (typical representative 2A12)
2.Excellent temperature resistance: It is mainly used in aerospace high-temperature resistant parts. The excellent temperature resistance is mainly due to the complex chemical composition and phase composition inside the 2000 series aluminum alloy, which can maintain good strength stability and process at high temperatures. It is mostly used for heat-resistant parts working in the temperature range of 150-250 °C and heat-resistant weldable structural parts and forgings.
3. Poor corrosion resistance, easy to be corroded (high CU content).
4.The annealing temperature of 2A12 is 390-450°C, (annealing is a metal heat treatment process in which the metal is slowly heated to a certain temperature, kept for a sufficient time, and then cooled at an appropriate speed. The main purpose is: to release the applied force; to increase the ductility and toughness of the material ; produce a special microstructure.) Quenching temperature is 496-540 °C.
